Bill Wyman rejoins The Stones

It has been reported that Bill Wyman has gone back to the studio with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts to record a tribute song to the 'sixth Stone' Ian Stewart.

Ian Stewart was the Rolling Stones original keyboard player and cofounder who was stood down from the band in 1963 but remained on their road manager until his death from a heart attack at age 47 in 1985. He also contributed keyboards to every Rolling Stones album except 'Beggars Banquet' right up until he died.

According to reports, a tribute album for Stewart, to be titled 'Boogie for Stu', will feature a newly recorded Rolling Stones version of Bob Dylan's 'Watching The River Flow'. This will be the Stones second recorded Bob Dylan cover. They also released 'Like A Rolling Stone' on the 1995 unplugged album 'Stripped'.

Waters posted at his website in November that three of the tracks were recorded with Keith Richards and that Mick Jagger 'played harmonica and sung fantastically on one track'. He had announced earlier in the year that he had laid down sessions featuring Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, so it is unclear if the Stones were all together when 'Watching The River Flow' was recorded of if it had been done in parts over time.

Bill Wyman was there at the start of the Rolling Stones in 1962. His last album with the Stones was 1989's 'Steel Wheels' but it wasn't until 1992 until his departure was officially announced.

Ben Waters is a 35-year old boogie woogie piano player. He has performed more than 3000 gigs around the world and a few choice functions such and Mick Jagger's Christmas party where 'Mick sat in for a few songs'.

Carlos Santana didn�t mind that it rained on his wedding day

The legendary 'Black Magic Woman' guitarist married drummer Cindy Blackman on the island of Maui in Hawaii on December 19 and said bad weather wasn't going to affect the big day.

The 63-year-old told People.com: 'The weather was kind of iffy, so we said, 'Let's just do it inside', because no matter where we did it, the sun was shining.'

His new wife added: "Rain represents mercy. It couldn't have been more beautiful."

The nuptials between the pair was a spiritual affair watched by 180 guests including musician friends Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter, and the ceremony enabled the pair to make good use of the wet weather outside.

Cindy, 51, explained: 'My favourite part of the ceremony was when we washed our hands in a bowl of rainwater. We absolved ourselves of all things past and all things future except the two of us. It felt so clearing to do that.'

The newly married couple also released doves "to release our purity and love into the cosmos.'

Carlos proposed to Cindy ' who rose to fame as a drummer for Lenny Kravitz and has recorded a number of jazz albums under her own name ' during a concert last July.

The singer added: "Cindy is a match with everything that I am, from fire of passion to vulnerability. Everything tastes better when you share it with your soul mate."

Carlos was previously married to Deborah until they split in 2007 after 34 years. The couple have three grown up children together.

The Streets to quit after next album

British rap innovator Mike Skinner, aka The Streets, says that his forthcoming album will likely be his last.

Skinner spoke to The Guardian about his forthcoming, partially crowd-sourced, fifth album Computers And Blues.

He said that after this album, and a planned run of tour dates, he's giving the game away.

''ve been doing it for 10 years and I've always tried to do something different with each album,' he told The Guardian. 'Some [of my work has] been amazingly received and some of it hasn't been, and I've run out of new avenues.'

Skinner sounds as fatalistic as he has recently on his blog. He admits that since he signed a five album deal, The Streets has been destined by economics as much as creativity.

He also said Computers And Blues doesn't really take a new direction: 't's all the directions I've already been down rehashed into something that's. quite nice on the ears.'

The Girls Aloud singer was "thrilled" when her boyfriend, DJ Tom Crane, surprised her by getting down on one knee during New Year's Eve (31.12.10) celebrations during a romantic break in the Maldives.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Sarah is absolutely thrilled. She didn't see it coming at all. When he went down on one knee it came as a huge surprise.

"Their relationship has gone from strength to strength since they moved in together. They are inseparable. Tom has shelled out on a big sparkler to let everyone know she's now taken."

Sarah, 29, and Tom ' who have been dating since 2007 ' had discussed marriage in the past, but the blonde beauty was reportedly reluctant to rush into walking down the aisle after witnessing the heartbreak of her bandmate Cheryl Cole, who got divorced from soccer star Ashley Cole last year after four years of marriage.

An insider explained to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "After the fall-out from Cheryl's wedding and divorce, it gave the other girls something to think about ' especially about rushing into anything.

"Sarah's always been very cautious and wanted to make sure it was the right time to say yes."

Tom has been open about marrying Sarah in the past and once revealed that he would like a traditional wedding rather than a glitzy "celebrity" one.

He said: "I know what kind of ring Sarah wants, we've looked on holiday.

"I'm very romantic. I want an old-fashioned English wedding. I want to the top and tails, more subtle than a celebrity wedding."

Former Transvision Vamp singer Wendy James is ready to take on 2011 as a solo artist.

Her post-punk hits with Transvision Vamp, 'Baby I Don't Care' and 'I Want Your Love' stamped some angst onto the end of the 80s after a near decade of new romantic pop from the UK.

In 1993, James released 'Now Ain't The Time For Your Tears', a solo record featuring every song written by Elvis Costello. There were also a couple of records under the moniker Racine 1 and Racine 2. However, in late 2010, Wendy released what she is calling her first real solo album 'I Came Here To Blow Minds'.

't's the first really. There was Elvis and me, then I called the next two Racine No1 and Racine No2,' she tells Undercover.fm. 'Although the production technique is the same (I write and produce) this is actually the first one where I came out front and called it like it is . Wendy James'.

For 'I Came Here To Blow Minds', Wendy holed up in a Paris studio and gathered together a tribe of French indie musicians to play with her. She chose musicians who marinated their influences to the sounds of New York and Detroit and acts like the Stooges, Television, the Velvets and Richard Hell and the Voidoids.

'I Came To Blow Minds' was released through Cobraside exclusively to iTunes in October, 2010.

The Oscar-nominated actress and singer believes she works too hard and is keen to have a family at some point in the near future.

Asked about where she would like to be in 10 years time, the 40 year old said: 'On cruise control, with a couple of kids under my belt. It's in the Lord's hands.

The Hollywood star also has advice for British royal bride Kate Middleton, saying she needs to find a 'sanctuary' of her own because so many people will be interested about her relationship with Prince William.

David and Victoria Beckham have enrolled their three sons into an English private school

The soccer player and his fashion designer wife decided to enter Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, eight, and five-year-old Cruz into classes at the school near their 'Beckingham Palace' home in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.

The family are leaving their Los Angeles home for three months so Victoria can prepare for London Fashion Week in February and ahead of David's potential loan deal to English team Tottenham Hotspur.

The school fees will cost the couple anything from £3,000 to over £5,000 a term and the three boys are set to arrive tomorrow (06.01.11).

A source told The Sun newspaper: 'All the staff are talking about it - everyone in the school knows. All three boys are coming. Everyone is looking forward to seeing them."

The 35-year-old sportsman is currently trying to negotiate a three-month loan move to Tottenham Hotspur, who are based in London, from his regular club Los Angeles Galaxy.

The source added: "The family's stay in England doesn't mean David has signed for Tottenham.

"It could be he won't even sign for another club during his break from Los Angeles Galaxy."

Eddie Van Halen went to his Valerie Bertinelli wedding on New Year's Day. The first time he attended a wedding starring Valerie as the bride, he was the groom.

The couple have a son 19-year old Wolfgang, who is now the bass player for his dad Eddie and uncle Alex's band Van Halen.

Valerie and Eddie divorced in 2006 after 25 years of marriage. Van Halen has since married his publicist (and former mode) Janie Liszewski. Valerie attended their wedding in 2009.

Valerie married Tom Vitalie in a star-studded ceremony in Malibu, California. Valerie, now starring in the sitcom Hot In Cleveland, invited her co-stars Wendie Mallick and Jane Leeves as well as the stars of her career-launching series 'One Day At A Time', Michelle Phillips and Pat Harrington.

The 'City of Angels' actress was spotted together with the 'Jack and Diane' rocker in New York, and friends say they have been seeing each other quietly for several weeks, less than a week after John announced his split from his wife of 20 years, former model Elaine Irwin.

Meg ' who moved to New York last year ' has been seen with John, 59, in the Martha's Vineyard Island off the coast of New England, and in New York - where they are said to be regular customers of the Gourmet Garage grocery store.

A source linked to the store told People.com: 'She usually comes in by herself or with her daughter. I thought that was her husband because they seemed for comfortable and familiar with each other, just like an old married couple."

John has been married three times and has five children, including two sons with Elaine. Following his shock split from his wife, he spent a low key New Year at his home in South Carolina.

Meg, 49, has been married once, to actor Dennis Quaid, whom she separated from in 2000, after 10 years of marriage. She has been largely single since, apart from a brief fling with the actor Russell Crowe around the same time her marriage ended.

Meg has one son with Dennis, Jack Henry, who is 18 and she also adopted a daughter, Daisy True, six, from China.

The British star ' who wed Alex Reid in a quickie service in Las Vegas last February after dating him for six months ' has confirmed reports their relationship is on the rocks and that they have gone on holiday to try and work through their problems.

She wrote on her twitter page: 'To answer my fans questions news of the world did a accurate story sunday about our marriage in crises . always look on bright side xx (sic)'

The couple flew out to an exclusive resort located on an island in the Indian Ocean on Christmas Day (25.12.10) in a bid to save their marriage.

Despite their difficulties, Katie, 32, and 35-year-old Alex are said to be determined to rescue their romance.

A source said: "It is no exaggeration to say that the marriage is in crisis. They needed some time on their own without any distractions to talk and see if they have something worth saving. They love each other very much and are doing everything they can to make it work.

"The fact that they have jetted away shows their commitment to making it work. They haven't done it to get some glitzy deal. They have done it because they both need to do some hard talking."

Katie - who has three children, Harvey, Junior and Princess Tiaamii from previous relationships - first started dating Alex in July 2009 just weeks after splitting from her husband Peter Andre

They tied the knot in Las Vegas on 2 February 2010 and had the marriage blessed in a lavish ceremony in July.

The Canadian singer ' who will marry Argentinean beauty Luisana Lopilato in April ' was astonished by the saucy query, much to the shock of his young female supporter, who then explained he had misheard her.

He said: 'Once I had a girl come up to me and she was 17 or 18, and she looked me right in the eye and said, 'I was wondering if your penis gives lessons?'

' looked at her and said, 'Pardon me?' I was speechless. I remember saying to my publicist, 'This girl just asked if my penis gives lessons' and the young girl got very angry with me. She said, 'Not your penis, your pianist.'

'Talk about your ego getting in the way and letting you hear things you want to hear.'

Michael ' who is renowned for his cover versions of songs by legendary artists - also revealed another fan tried to kill him at one of his concerts for 'stealing' music from the original performers.

He told Britain's OK! magazine: ' did a show in Virginia and he put wire in his hands and said I had stolen music from black people and tried to pop my head off. I went into the audience and he swung at me ' I saw the fist and moved and pushed his face back.

'The FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) came to pick him up and he kicked the window out of the back of the car to get out to get me again. He wanted me dead.'

The Flaming Lips to release new tracks each month

Freaky psycho rockers The Flaming Lips plan to release new tracks each month throughout 2011.

Frontman Wayne Coyne spoke to Rolling Stone and revealed that the band will be releasing tracks here and there rather than preparing a full album.

Coyne said, 'The dilemma is whether we're going to release it on vinyl, cereal boxes, or some of it on toys that we make. Sometimes, the music is the simplest part of any of these things.

He also said that they'll be collating music videos during the year which will form a larger movie.

Or to put it in his words, 'We'll be making these little videos that connect in the end to a bigger movie we'll be making next year as well.'

The group will hit the studio in late-January with longtime producer Dave Fridmann and record every month, filming the entire process.

Cheryl Cole sealed her romance with Derek Hough by sharing a public kiss with him on New Year's Eve (31.12.10).

The 'Promise This' singer - who has always refused to confirm whether she is dating dancer Derek despite constantly being linked to him - is currently on a romantic holiday in South Africa with the 'Dancing with the Stars' hunk and decided to prove her love for him by welcoming in 2011 with a passionate embrace.

A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Cheryl and Derek are together and don't care who knows it. She wanted to spend New Year's Eve with Derek because she sees her future with him. 2010 was the worst year of Cheryl's life. But now she is looking forward to happier times with Derek."

Cheryl - who, last year, divorced soccer player husband Ashley Cole and battled potentially-fatal disease malaria, which she contracted during a trip to Africa with Derek - and Derek flew to Cape Town on Wednesday (29.12.10) and attended the lavish party thrown by American property mogul Preston Haskell.

Sources at the exclusive bash claim the pair couldn't keep their hands off each other, with one saying: "It was so adorable to see Cheryl and Derek and how happy there were. If anyone didn't believe they were a couple, the New Year's Eve party proved they are. They only had eyes for each other and ignored everyone else."

Cheryl, 27, is set to move to Los Angeles this year after reportedly signing a deal to become a judge on the US version of 'The X Factor' and Derek is said to be thrilled as it means they will be spending more time together.

Grammy-winning R&B singer Toni Braxton considers doing Playboy on twitter.

Following a Jan 2 tweet saying 'Let's make it a sexy year', Braxton takes her own advice and considers a Playboy offer.

She tweeted today, 'New Year, New opportunities. So I have been considering taking up Playboy's offer to feature me on their cover this year. What you think?'

Despite some fans protestations, she followed up with ' would love to pose with Hugh Hefner though. He's the sexiest guy I know over 30 ;-)' and reassured 'Of course it will be tastefully done :-)'.

She reassured fans that it's wouldn't be that kind of spread, 'Just a lil T and A' and revealed that she had been asked to pose for the men's magazine three times already.

Muse plan galactic gig

The Cardigans might have released an album called 'The First Band On The Moon' in 1996, but Muse hope to come closer than they ever did by playing a show in Space.

It might not happen in the near future, but the band hope to someday play a zero gravity song to match their many space-themed tracks including 'Neutron Star Collision' and 'Supermassive Black Hole'.

'We've had some discussions about playing in space,' singer Matt Bellamy told The Sun. 'Sometimes very coherent conversations and sometimes very late at night, but it's for real.

''m thinking of approaching Richard Branson to see if we could do it on his spacecraft he's got happening.

'Although we do have a lot of equipment, so I guess we'd have to use pods to carry our stuff and we'd scale back the shows a lot.'

Muse wrap up their world tour in Brazil in April. After that they can start planning their celestial tour, but don't expect it to happen anytime soon.

The 'Still The One' singer tied the knot with Swiss businessman Frederic Thiebaud in Puerto Rico on New Year's Day (01.01.11) just weeks after their engagement was announced.

Her representative told People magazine: "They were married at sunset in Rincon, Puerto Rico, in front of 40 of their closest family and friends."

Following news of their engagement, Shania took to her blog to express her delight at the news and said she was excited about her future.

She said: "2010 is leaving me with a renewed faith in love and commitment. ... Talking about love, I am excited to share some personal news with you; I'm in love! Frederic Nicolas Thiebaud has been a true gift to me as a compassionate, understanding friend and over time, an amazing love has blossomed from this precious friendship. Fred and I are happy to announce, our ENGAGEMENT! (sic)"

Shania was previously married to Robert 'Mutt' Lange but their 14-year union ended in May 2008 after he embarked on a relationship her friend and Frederic's ex-wife Marie-Anne Thiebaud and she has said that experience has shown her who her true friends really are.

Shania - who has a nine-year-old son, Eja, with her ex - said: "In the last two and a half years of adjusting to life after separation and divorce, I needed to lean on others more often than I was accustomed to. These people have been gifts, and I am fortunate to have so many of these beautiful people - friends, family and beloved fans, who's support I cherish more deeply with each day that passes. Now another year is about to pass, and I would like to thank everyone who helped me believe that new beginnings are possible and that love can be trusted."

Mel B is worried married people will think she's 'a pervert' ' because she speaks about her sex life so much.

The former Spice Girls singer is happy to openly talk about her bedroom antics with husband Stephen Belafonte, but does worry about how people could perceive her.

Mel said: 'We have lots of sex, we raise our kids very well and Stephen cooks dinner every night for the whole family ' life's good.

'Everybody has sex, especially if you're married. I don't know if married people will be inspired by me though ' they might just think I'm a pervert.'

Mel ' who raises her daughters, Phoenix, 11, and Angel, three, from previous relationships and Stephen's child Giselle, seven, with her husband ' also revealed she thinks having sex is a good way to keep fit.

The 35-year-old star - who has been married to Stephen for three years - added: ' think any kind of sexual activity is a bit of a workout if you do it right. We have good communication with each other and I never fake it.'

Johnny Cash new material to be released

Columbia/Legacy has announced that more vault recordings by Johnny Cash will be released on February 22 with Bootlegs 2: From Memphis to Hollywood.

The two-CD set will concentrate on Cash's early career with disc one taken from his time in Memphis. Included will be a radio broadcast hosted by Cash, eleven previously unreleased demos and seven outtakes from his days at Sun Records. The second disc takes in his Columbia Records days from 1958 to 1969 and includes non-album singles, B-sides and outtakes.

The new set comes one year, almost to the day, after the release of his final studio album, American VI: Ain't No Grave.

The 'Glee' actress is delighted with rumours that the 48-year-old Scottish singing sensation ' who shot to fame after competing on UK TV programme 'Britain's Got Talent' in 2009 ' is set for a cameo in the show because her rise to success is similar to that of the stars of the musical drama.

Asked about the speculation, Lea said: 'Oh my God, I have no idea! It would be so incredible to sing with her.

'She had a hidden talent which was then discovered, which is what happened to so many of us from 'Glee'. Look at Amber Riley and Chris Colfer ' they're incredible and thanks to 'Glee' the world gets to see them.

' think Susan Boyle is perfect. She's a shoo-in.'

As well as hoping Susan can appear on the show, Lea would be delighted if Madonna ' whose music was the subject of a special episode last year ' and Justin Timberlake were also offered roles.

She added in an interview with Britain's LOOK magazine: 'We all loved doing the Madonna show ' it was one of my favourite episodes. We're hoping to do a part two. Maybe Madonna could be the sex education teacher.

'Justin Timberlake would be great. He is perfect.'
